Hi! My name is Yu-Chun, I was born in Taiwan and moved to New Zealand when I was 2 years old. I have a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology and French as my supporting subject. I spent a year studying Cognitive Science and psychology and French Literature at the University of California, San Diego which was simply amazing! I was an assistant at the Memory, attention and Perception lab where we conducted experiments about learning. After coming back with those new experiences and volunteering for 2 terms at a local primary school, I decided I want to be alongside children in their development and help make a positive difference in their lives! I am currently taking the Graduate Diploma of Primary Teaching at The University of Waikato (New Zealand) and it has been an eye-opening experience! I can speak fluent English and Mandarin. Multilingualism and cultural diversity are my interests. I also enjoy traveling, studying, socializing, meeting new people, cooking and family life (I have supportive and kind parents and an elder brother).
